JPII defends its state title. The team poses on the podium.

On Saturday, November 4, the girls cross country team for Pope John Paul II High School defended their State Championship title, winning for the 4th consecutive year. Freshman Ruby H. finishing in 19:29.10, was crowned the individual state champion for girls 1B/2B, the first JPII athlete to do so. Junior, Ariel B. placed 4th overall in a time of 20:00.30.
