JPII Defends State Title

On Saturday, November 4, the girls cross country team for Pope John Paul II High School defended their State Championship title, winning for the 4th consecutive year. Freshman Ruby H. finishing in 19:29.10, was crowned the individual state champion for girls 1B/2B, the first JPII athlete to do so. Junior, Ariel B. placed 4th overall in a time of 20:00.30.

Adding their own glory to the mix, the boys team placed 2nd for the 5th consecutive year.
