Pope John Paul II High School girls cross country wins the WIAA/Gesa Credit Union State Championship for the third consecutive year! It was a close race but once again, the Eagles showed their determination and grit, edging out Garfield-Palouse by one point!

For the fourth consecutive year, with less than a minute spread between each of the top five JPII runners, Eagle boys cross country placed second at State!

The Pope John Paul II High School girls cross country team has won the WIAA/Gesa Credit Union Academic State Champions Award for achieving the highest grade point average in the girls 1B cross country classification. This is the second consecutive year that our team has won the Academic State Championship!

Each team member will receive a special patch and medallion in recognition of their extraordinary accomplishment. A special plaque will be presented to the girls during the upcoming WIAA/Gesa Credit Union State Cross Country Meet. Therese Allin, principal of JPII, expressed pride in the girls’ accomplishments, “We are so blessed to have such incredible student athletes.”
