A male student takes the HSPT.

The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a standardized test administered to 8th graders that helps schools know where to place students academically when they enter high school. The test takes approximately three hours to complete and an essay will be administered after the standardized portion of the test. We host a Prospective Parent Information Session during the first hour of the test for parents and guardians. The test can be shared with any school that accepts it regardless of where it was proctored.
