The JPII cross country squad is one of our strongest programs. In 2019, only their second year of team competition, the girls team won the State 1B/2B team title. This was the first time a JPII sports team has ever won a State title. The girls won the State 1B/2B title again in 2021, 2022, and 2023! In 2023, Ruby H. became the first cross country athlete in school history to win an individual State title!

In cross country, the boys and girls compete against 2B schools to win a State title, unlike track and other sports.

The boys team has finished second in State for five consecutive years.

Cross country requires personal discipline and commitment to work. This program builds character and fitness competency that can be applied throughout a lifetime.
