The Pope John Paul II High School girls cross country team has won the WIAA/Gesa Credit Union Academic State Champions Award for achieving the highest grade point average in the girls 1B cross country classification. This is the second consecutive year that our girls cross country team has won the Academic State Championship!

Each team member will receive a special patch and medallion in recognition of their extraordinary accomplishment. A special plaque will be presented to the girls during the upcoming WIAA/Gesa Credit Union State Cross Country Meet. Therese Allin, principal of JPII, expressed pride in the girls’ accomplishments, “We are so blessed to have such incredible student athletes.”
