On Saturday night, JPII celebrated the highly anticipated Homecoming Dance, or HOCO as the kids call it, by surpassing attendance records with over 100 students attending. COVID shut the door on homecoming last year and two proms.

Students arrived for HOCO decked out in dresses, suits, ties and outfits that displayed school pride. Hosted at the Olympic Flight Museum in Tumwater, this venue provided the perfect atmosphere, especially when paired with DJ sounds from Rad Marapao (big kudos sir for donating your services), line dancing, delicious snacks, great chaperones and really cool aircraft like the classic P-51 Mustang. Most of all, it was the attitudes of the students who seemed to want to dance the night away. The dance floor remained full from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm. This will be a hard night to top, thanks to the leadership of the ASB officers who put forth a monumental effort to make this night such a success.

Shout out to all those who helped monitor pre-event COVID testing and vaccination verifications. What a blessing to remain safe while having such a great time.
